James Reyes officially assumed office as the city manager of Miami during a formal swearing-in ceremony on Jan. 12 in the lobby of the Miami Riverside Center.
Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins and city employees gathered to mark the beginning of a new chapter of leadership for the City of Miami.
“Today marks a new chapter for the City of Miami,” Mayor Higgins said. “As city manager, James Reyes brings the experience, integrity, and steady leadership needed to ensure our city government works for everyone. I look forward to working alongside him as we continue building a stronger, more responsive Miami.”
Reyes expressed his commitment to partnership and action.
“I am honored to serve as city manager for the City of Miami,” Reyes said. “I look forward to working with the mayor, city commission, city employees, and our residents to deliver results, strengthen city services, and move Miami forward with transparency and purpose.”
