JDR Atelier, the trailblazing Miami-based collective, announced today its return to Spectrum Miami for 2024. The collective, made up of multidisciplinary artist Jessica de Vreeze, contemporary artist Daniel Marin, and augmented reality pop artist Romi Myers, will present an evolved body of work that continues to fuse fine art with digital innovation. Their latest body of works promise a compelling blend of physical and virtual worlds, offering fairgoers the chance to engage with art in ways that challenge traditional boundaries and open up new vistas for artistic interaction.

Featured prominently in booth 1206 at the 2024 edition of Spectrum Miami from December 4-8,  their curated works will take viewers on a journey through cutting-edge artistic experiences ranging from mixed media to photography to augmented reality. The three artists, who each have distinct practices but share a common passion for pushing creative boundaries, have honed their synergy over the past year to deliver an even more cohesive and thought-provoking presentation.

Building on Momentum and Evolution

Capitalizing on their successful debut during Art Basel 2023, the JDR Atelier artists spent 2024 deepening their practice both individually and as a collective. Jessica de Vreeze continues to blend fine art photography and painting, making waves in both the art world and social advocacy. Through her creative practice, Jessica not only pushes artistic boundaries but also drives her nonprofit initiative, Unchained Mothering which was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization last year. Daniel Marin, under the moniker Department M, pushes his exploration of abstraction and street art with bold, layered compositions that invite viewers into surreal, textured worlds. Meanwhile, Romi Myers’ has expanded her exploration of digital media and environmental awareness through interactive augmented reality installations, adding new dimensions to her ongoing “My Emojions” series.

At Spectrum Miami 2024, expect to see this convergence of talents manifest in a range of media, including photography, painting, collage, and immersive digital art. From bold, pop-inspired narratives to serene, emotionally charged landscapes, JDR Atelier’s work challenges viewers to explore the interconnectedness of art, emotion, and the digital-physical divide.

More about the artists:

Jessica de Vreeze

Jessica draws inspiration from her multicultural background and the fleeting moments she encounters, transforming them into evocative paintings and fine art photography. Born in Paris, the French-American visual artist channels the raw emotions that define human experience—love, freedom, and the profound connections that shape our lives. Her work has been collected in nearly 60 cities across 18 countries and 4 continents, resonating with those who recognize or tune into the energy and soul of the people and places she portrays. In 2024, she expanded her reach into public spaces, creating a reference logo for the City of Miami’s West Grove and bringing her photography to life around the city. Jessica’s work is represented by The Old Print Shop in NYC and is showcased through exhibitions worldwide.]

Daniel Marin

Known for his vibrant, multi-layered paintings that merge pop art with abstraction and street art, Daniel Marin continues to push boundaries with his conceptual approach to contemporary painting. His latest work, exhibited at Spectrum Miami 2024, introduces a more profound exploration of storytelling through décollage and silk-screening techniques.  A Cuban-American self-taught artist from Miami, FL, Marin’s work portrays engaging scenes with underlying stories and hints of both humor and tension, all left for the viewer to piece together. Marin’s art has been featured in collections across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.

Romi Myers

Romi continues to break ground in the digital and augmented reality art worlds. With her Brazilian, Japanese, and Italian heritage, she draws on a diverse range of influences to create visually stimulating, thought-provoking pieces. Romi’s “My Emojions” series has grown to include new interactive elements, blending sustainability, emotional exploration, and AR technology, engaging viewers in entirely new ways. Her work continues to incorporate her synesthesia, bridging sensory experiences through color and emotion. As Romi’s collectors circle continues to grow both nationally and internationally, some of her work can also be found at the Wynwood Kollective along with the occasional Art Walk at Thrive Art District in Ft. Lauderdale.
