The new sculpted exterior of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland has a tapered roof that optimizes performance without giving up space. The look of the front has been renewed but you still can tell it is a Grand Cherokee even with a whole new package of available premium LED lighting, which brings it into the modern era.
The Grand Cherokee, which gives you 18 miles per gallon in the city and 25 mpg on the highway, starts at $55,000.
It’s versatile, offering three 4×4 systems and a bunch of features that gives you options for everything from off-road trails to city streets. With the Jeep Grand Cherokee you get all-weather capabilities and a towing capacity of up to 7,200 pounds that play into the long-running rugged reputation of this legendary vehicle.
One of the most awarded SUVs on the market now has three rows that give you room for as many as seven passengers. And they aren’t crammed in there like sardines either, with plenty of second-row legroom for big and small people.
As for the seats — there is 16-way adjustability with the power front seats and both memory and massage features that you keep comfortable. Comfort is the name of the game in the cabin, with a quad-zone automatic temperature control system that takes the worry out of hot days.
You also get the choice of what Jeep calls the “commandview” dual-pane power panoramic sunroof, which has a power sunshade in front and a fixed glass ceiling in the rear that gives you amazing views in the day and a beautiful look at night.
From the driver’s seat you get a choice of a 10.1-inch multi-view touchscreen display and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel with all the important car controls built right in.
That means you won’t have any distractions from keeping your eyes on the road.
The all-new Uconnect 5 system that is tied to the touchscreen allows for up to five user profiles and simultaneous dual-phone connectivity for passengers. You and the people in the cabin also will get a kick out of the new available McIntosh MX950 entertainment system with 19 speakers that is precise and powerful.
For many, the safety features are key in a vehicle like this because more room means more passengers. Fortunately, the Grand Cherokee L Overland has more than 110 standard and available safety and security features including adaptive cruise control with “stop and go” technology, forward collision warning, active lane management, blind spot monitoring and rear cross path detection and automatic emergency braking.
The bottom line is that this is an amazing looking car with great performance and styling inside and out. It doesn’t get much better than the Grand Cherokee L Overland.
