The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Willys ’41 4xe isn’t just another trim in the Wrangler family – it’s a rolling tribute to Jeep’s World War II origins. Based on the four-door Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid, this special edition blends rugged utility with throwback styling and modern technology. The exterior features a military-inspired Drab Blue “WILLYS / 4XE” decal, olive-drab paint, and 17-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. It’s a nod to the 1941 Willys MB, yet fully outfitted for today’s roads and trails.
Inside the cabin, the retro theme continues with tan seats, olive dash accents, and a distinctive ’41 medallion on the gear shifter. But don’t let the vintage cues fool you: this Wrangler is packed with 2025-grade tech. A crisp 12.3-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster bring modern connectivity and control to an interior that balances old-school charm with new-school functionality.
Under the hood, the Willys ’41 4xe boasts a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. The combined system produces 375 horsepower and a whopping 470 lb-ft of torque. It’s surprisingly quick for an off-roader, launching from zero to 60 mph in just over five seconds. On electric power alone, the Wrangler can travel about 21 miles, making short trips emissions-free. When gas and electric are working in tandem, it delivers up to 49 Miles per gallon and a total range of around 370 miles.
With a starting price of around $60,000, the Willys ’41 4xe carries about a $9,200 premium over the base Wrangler 4xe. Fully equipped models, especially those with the optional Sky One-Touch power top, can reach just above $66,000.
There’s a lot to like about this hybrid. Its distinctive styling, strong performance, and quiet ride make it one of the more refined Wranglers in recent memory, particularly on the highway and off the beaten path.
Visually, the Willys ’41 4xe sets itself apart with an exterior that feels purpose-built yet unmistakably nostalgic. The matte-finish olive green paint echoes the utilitarian look of the original 1941 Willys MB, while a gloss black grille and hood graphic add a modern edge. Unique badging and stenciled “WILLYS / 4XE” decals further the military motif, and the high-clearance fender flares showcase the vehicle’s off-road intent. The design manages to strike a balance between retro and rugged, with just enough modern flair to remind you this is no museum piece – it’s meant to be driven.
The Willys ’41 4xe succeeds at what it sets out to do: honor Jeep’s military roots while looking forward to a more electrified future. For drivers who want something authentic, capable, and different from anything else on the road—or trail—this is history with horsepower. Reverent. Rugged. Unapologetically Jeep.
