JetStream Federal Credit Union has announced that it has been honored with a Sunshine Award at the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) annual Sunshine Awards on Friday, Nov. 7, at the historic Biltmore Hotel.

JetStream FCU was nominated by Kristi House, a valued community partner dedicated to treating and preventing child sexual abuse, child trafficking, and other forms of childhood trauma. Kristi House’s Children’s Advocacy Center collaborates with seven partner agencies to meet the legal, medical, and emotional needs of child victims and to hold perpetrators accountable.

The nomination recognized JetStream’s ongoing commitment to community service and social responsibility, particularly through employee volunteerism and charitable initiatives. JetStream’s team has actively participated in efforts including: Back-to-School Supplies Drive, Community Food Drive and Holiday Toy drives.

These initiatives exemplify JetStream’s mission to support families, strengthen communities, and make a positive difference in South Florida.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and to be nominated by Kristi House, an organization whose mission we truly believe in,” said Emilio Ruiz, market outreach and training specialist at JetStream FCU. “At JetStream, giving back is part of who we are. Our employees are passionate about serving others, and this award is a reflection of the dedication, compassion, and teamwork that drive everything we do.”

Founded in 1994, the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization that promotes business leadership, fosters economic opportunities, and provides legislative advocacy for the Hispanic business community. The SFLHCC, recognized as one of the top five Hispanic Chambers of Commerce in the United States, has celebrated excellence through its Sunshine Awards for 30 years, honoring businesses and individuals who make significant contributions to the region’s community and economy.
