Jim Gall, president of Auction Company of America and one of the nation’s leading auctioneers, has been named as the auctioneer for the 38th Biscayne Bay Gala, Apr. 13.
The event at the Miami Airport Hilton Blue Lagoon hotel will honor the Ed Williamson family as the Biscayne Bay Kiwanis’ Citizens of the Year. This is the first time in the 68-year-old club’s history that an entire family has been honored.
A limited number of tickets at $150 remain for the gala expected to draw more than 200 of South Florida’s leading business and community leaders.
“This event is one of the highlights of the social season,” said Gall, who is celebrating his 40th year as an auctioneer and is a former president of the Biscayne Bay Kiwanis. “This is a great opportunity for the community to honor Ed, Carol and Trae Williamson for everything this outstanding family has done over the past 50 years for South Florida.”
According to current Biscayne Bay Kiwanis president Kellie Gayoso, having Gall handling the gavel for the live auction portion of the event is the highlight of the evening.
“We have an exciting event, including a cocktail party, silent auction and a terrific dinner honoring the Williamsons,” Gayoso said. “But without question, the live auction — which will feature a wide variety of items including vacations around the world — is the most electrifying with Jim Gall at the helm. Nobody conducts a more lively and enjoyable auction than Jim.”
