Jungle Adventure Camp keeps kids’ ages 5-12 engaged and thoroughly entertained during the summer break.

Looking to add adventure to your kids’ summer plans? Jungle Island presents an all-new exciting Jungle Adventure Camp, designed to keep kids’ ages 5-12 engaged and thoroughly entertained during the summer break.

Available from June 10 to Aug. 9, South Florida’s newly transformed eco-adventure destination offers nine week-long, full-day camps filled with educational hands-on animal encounters, nature discovery, space exploration and much more.

“As a former Miami-Dade County Public Schools teacher, I fully understand how important it is for kids to still learn and channel their imagination during the long break,” said Dana Rosenberg, director of education for Jungle Island. “Our Summer Adventure Camp teaches children a variety of skills and captivating lessons in a super fun, safe environment. Plus, the opportunity to meet new friends — both human and animal — is bound to make for a memorable summer camp experience.”

To keep campers’ level of excitement at an all-time high, Jungle Island features jammed-packed days with arts and crafts, water play, science, animal encounters along with the following themed programs:

Around the Globe in Five Days: All aboard the Jungle Island cruise line! Travel to five different countries and learn about their customs, food, traditions and, of course, wildlife! Each day kids will “visit” a new location and share experiences unique to that area. Dates: Week One (June 10-14) and Week Five (July 8-12).

Time Travel: Step into a time machine as kids travel back (way back) to the Mesozoic era. Each day, kids will explore a different time period, focusing on the plants and animals that existed there. Then, on Friday, they will zoom into the future and discover what it may hold for us here on Earth. Dates: Week Two (June 17-21) and Week Six (July 15-19).

Disasters on Earth: Hurricanes, tornadoes, mudslides and tsunamis are all powerful forces of nature. This week, kids will dive deep into the causes of these mind-blowing occurrences. Then, they will take a look at how animal friends are affected by the weather. Dates: Week Three (June 24-28) and Week Seven (July 22-26).

Out of This World Odyssey: It might take a spaceship three days to get to the moon, but at Jungle Island campers can explore space without even leaving the atmosphere. Not only will kids dive into stars, planets, and rockets, but they will take a look at some of the out-of-this-world characteristics that animals here on Earth have. Dates: Week Four (July 1-5) and Week Eight (July 29-Aug. 2).

Adventure Quest: Join Jungle Island’s quest through the world of gaming. Each day will bring a new game category, everything from game shows to video games. Between designing your own board game to playing life size angry birds — Jungle Island has an insane week planned. Dates: Week Nine (Aug. 5-9).

Summer Adventure Camp is offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday at a weekly rate of $175 per week, per child, or daily for $50 per child. Go Wild VIP Kids Tours and SuperFlight experiences are available at an additional cost. Early and late care is available at an additional cost of $40 for a week or $10 for the day. Parents may choose to send campers with lunch or purchase a lunch package at $40 per week or $10 per day.

Campers will receive a camp T-shirt, sunglasses, and daily snacks. Payments must be received at least 14 business days prior to enrollment date to hold a space. There is a non-refundable deposit of $50 at time of registration due to limited availability. For more information, visit www.jungleisland.com/education.
