There’s something magical about those first days of spring in Miami. As the rest of the country shakes off winter’s grip, we’re already basking in that perfect South Florida spring—warm but not yet sweltering, with just enough humidity to remind us that summer is coming.
For Marlins fans, opening day against the Pittsburgh Pirates at loanDepot park on March 27 represents more than just the start of another season. There is no greater moment than the pride of seeing everyone stand together with their caps over their hearts as “The Star-Spangled Banner” reverberates through the stadium. For those precious minutes, tens of thousands of strangers become a community—unified in respect and anticipation.
Will this be our year? Could our young arms and promising bats finally come together? The beauty of opening day is that, for those precious hours, the answer is always “YES.”
It’s a glorious tradition that binds us together like few events do. From the retirees who have followed the team since 1993 to the kids experiencing their first game, we’re all equal in our love for the teal and black. We speak the same language of batting averages and ERAs, of sacrifice flies and double plays.
For Marlins fans, baseball isn’t just America’s pastime—it’s our summer soundtrack. And there’s truly nothing sweeter than that.
Opening day is going to be quite the event—especially with the return of 2022 National League Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara. The fun continues postgame with live performances on the field by Luis Fonsi and Flo Rida. Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Marlins launch the 2025 regular season at home on March 27 at 4:10 p.m. against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Fans can secure their tickets today by visiting Marlins.com/Tickets.
