Sonshine’s president and CEO, Bernadette Morris, has appointed Luisa Martinez to the position of associate vice president and communications director at the agency. In this capacity, Martinez will manage the public and media relations division, and provide leadership and guidance on the team’s projects and assignments.

In her new role at the firm, Martinez will manage and oversee client accounts, serve as a client liaison, develop social media content messages, manage social media accounts, draft and distribute press releases for clients, assist with creative campaigns, and manage Hispanic relations.

The consummate educator, Martinez earned her Master of Science in Mass Communications from Florida International University and her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Universidad APEC (UNAPEC) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, her native home. Martinez is a seasoned PR professional, with nearly a decade of experience in the area of PR, marketing and communications services.
