Spring is in the air and Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus, 11011 SW 104 St., is celebrating with its annual Spring Fling Carnival on Saturday, Mar. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The community is invited to enjoy the fun-filled festivities, bursting with children’s activities, food vendors, clowns, rides, inflatables, slides, and the new Go Gator roller coaster.
Spring Fling will take place on the Kendall Campus’ track field. Admission is $1 per person and proceeds benefit the MDC Kendall Student United Way campaign.
The carnival will feature costumed characters, an arts and crafts tent, science tent, reading corner, and a main stage with children’s dance performances, kids fitness classes, and local school bands. There also will be an appearance by the Miami Heat Dancers.
Kendall’s Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza is back as well, where children, ages 11 and under, can hunt in a field of 6,000 colored eggs. The Egg Hunt features two sessions for various age groups: ages 5 and younger at 10:30 a.m. and ages 6-11 at 11:15 a.m. Both egg hunts will take place at the field next to the Carnival entrance.
