Mercy Hospital – A Campus of Plantation General Hospital will host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., on the south shore of the medical campus.
The spectacular event is free to the community and fun for the whole family. Santa Claus arrives via City of Miami fire truck with sirens blaring down Mercy Way and alongside Biscayne Bay to the tune of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
The countdown to illuminate the tree is led by special guests. Entertainment will include performances and Christmas carols by the local school choirs. Kids receive a complimentary photo with Santa and enjoy hot chocolate and churros.
Mercy Hospital will sponsor a toy drive to benefit the needy children in our community. Bring an unwrapped toy and help light up a child’s holiday.
