Miami area resident is crowned Mrs. Galaxy International 2027

Joëlle Krinickas, a Miami area resident, was crowned as Mrs. Galaxy International 2027 during the recent Galaxy International Pageant finals in The Bahamas, competing alongside women from around the world.
“Miami has been home to me for the past several years and has also been at the heart of so much of the community work I have carried out throughout my pageant journey,” Krinickas said. “Now, as Mrs. Galaxy International 2027, I am incredibly excited to use this international platform to continue that work on an even greater scale, while proudly representing the community I call home.”
Krinickas, who currently lives in North Bay Village, originally is from Christchurch, Dorset in the United Kingdom, and first competed in the Galaxy Pageant system when she was 18 years old. After more than a decade away from pageantry, she returned to Galaxy as a Mrs. with the title Mrs. Florida Galaxy and last year placed first runner up internationally before being crowned Mrs. North America Galaxy.
“Throughout that reign, I really wanted to show that a title can be about so much more than wearing a crown. I completed more than 70 appearances across seven states and eight countries, dedicating over 225 hours to volunteering, charitable initiatives and community service.”
Krinickas said a large part of that work has taken place in Miami and has included coastal and community cleanups, food and clothing drives, blood donations, environmental initiatives, children’s causes and supporting local community events.
“This year I returned to the Galaxy International finals, held in The Bahamas, where I was incredibly honored to win and be crowned Mrs. Galaxy International 2027, as well as receiving the ‘Best in Interview’ award, ‘Best in Fashion’ award and ‘Best in Evening’ award.”
Krinickas noted that outside of pageantry and her community work, she is a huge adventure and sports lover and takes part in several traditionally male-dominated sports, including skydiving and kiteboarding.
“Something I’m really passionate about is showing women and girls that we don’t have to fit into one box. You can love dressing up, embracing your femininity and competing on an international pageant stage, while also jumping out of airplanes, riding dirt bikes, fighting on the mats, or pushing yourself in adventure sports. You can absolutely do both.”
Krinickas said winning the title is a dream come true, but what excites her most is what she can now do with it.
“I want to use this year to continue showing up for communities here in Miami and beyond, grow the work I have already started and hopefully encourage others to get involved too. Miami has become such an important part of my life, so having the opportunity to share this achievement with my local community would mean so much to me.”
