When you have been creating art for 13 years, you have found an enormous number of inspirations. A rising sun. Sailboats. Palm Trees. Beautiful buildings. A peacock.

But what if you had an opportunity to pull all of those concepts together into one piece of art – a ribbon that will go around the necks of 18,500 runners in the 2026 Life Time Miami Marathon & Half presented by FP Movement.

That was the immediate thought of Miami-based artist Courtney Einhorn after she was selected to design the medal ribbon for the 2026 edition of the race, which will be held January 25 through the streets of Downtown Miami, South Beach and Coconut Grove.

The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half has become known throughout the global running community for its unique finisher medals and ribbons. Einhorn joins a lineup of elite local artists who have had their work showcased on the necks of every runner who crosses the finish line at the annual event since 2012, when the tradition first got its start.

“It was surreal to be chosen to do this,” Einhorn said. “It’s really awesome that this is something that all these runners will have for the rest of their lives. It’s a visual of their accomplishment. Being from Miami myself makes it even more special.”

In 2013, Einhorn quit her job as a Speech Pathologist to chase her dream of painting, a passion for her entire life going back to her pre-school days.

“After working a few years, I realized I missed doing what I loved most,” Einhorn said. “I began painting again, quickly gained a following, began exhibiting in galleries and top festivals, and knew I was on the right path.”

You can find her artwork throughout South Florida in hospitals, hotels, schools, restaurants, on storefronts, construction machinery, pillars, buses, parking meters, merchandise, and furniture. Einhorn has collaborated with and created art for well-known companies and events, such as Swatch, Birkenstock, CitizenM Hotels, Cirque Du Soleil, Rimmel London, LIFEWTR, Dyson, Allergan, El Jimador Tequila, Finlandia Vodka, Sunfest, The Florida Lottery, Teavana Tea, The Miami Heat, The Miami FC, Baptist Children’s Hospital, The Miami Marine Stadium, J.Crew, Pitbull’s New Years Eve Concert, Art Basel, Miami New Times, and Miami Swim Week.

She is well-known in South Florida for live paintings at events. In addition, she runs a mobile paint party business, traveling to clients and guiding them through the entire painting process from start to finish.

“I have some murals around the city and have collaborated with major brands. But it’s usually for that night or day and then it’s over,” Einhorn said. “This is different because so many people will be able to have my artwork in their homes forever. I’m grateful for that opportunity.”

The five paintings Einhorn used for her Life Time Miami Marathon & Half project spanned over the 13 years of her career. She was born and raised in Miami, has always been influenced by the vibrant colors of the city. She aimed to capture things that runners see during the race. The rising sun as they cross the MacArthur Causeway at the start. The palm trees along Ocean Drive. The buildings that form the skyline of Downtown Miami. The sailboats and peacocks of Coconut Grove.

And then there are the hearts.

“Not only is running great for our heart and health, but every runner is running with their whole heart pouring into their passion and commitment to the race,” Einhorn said. “I am so impressed by these runners. I can’t run a mile.”

Owned and produced by Life Time (NYSE: LTH), the nation’s premier healthy lifestyle brand, the Life Time Miami Marathon & Half has once again sold out at 18,500 runners. Participants representing 50 states and more than 70 countries will take on the USTAF-certified, Boston-qualifying course that showcases the best views of Miami’s cityscape and waterways.

Registration for the January 24, 2026, Life Time Tropical 5K is now open. With a start at Watson Island and finish at the southern tip of South Beach, the Tropical 5K is a great kickoff to the weekend, and a warmup for many of the runners participating in the Marathon or Half. Registration is available at www.themiamimarathon.com.

Training programs and recovery resources are available to all in the complimentary Life Time Digital app and can be custom built using the app’s AI-powered healthy way of life companion, L•AI•C. In addition to the iconic Miami Marathon & Half, Life Time is set to open a new West Boca athletic country club in late 2025, further strengthening its presence in South Florida. This upcoming destination will join Life Time’s established locations in Coral Gables, Miami at the Falls, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach Gardens.
