Miami Celebrates Ferragosto and National Rum Day With Two Waterfront Festivals

Miami and Fort Lauderdale are turning up the summer energy on Saturday, August 15, with two waterfront celebrations bringing Italian flair and Caribbean spirit to South Florida.
At Regatta Grove, guests can celebrate Ferragosto, the iconic Italian summer tradition, with a waterfront event presented by S.Pellegrino. The celebration will feature Italian-inspired specialty cocktails, authentic pizza, themed photo opportunities and lively activations overlooking Biscayne Bay.
For the occasion, Regatta Grove will also debut a limited-edition pizza created exclusively for Ferragosto, available for one day only, along with specialty cocktails crafted specifically for the celebration. Guests who RSVP in advance will receive a complimentary Regatta hat while supplies last.
Meanwhile, The Wharf Fort Lauderdale is going all-in for National Rum Day with a riverfront festival dedicated entirely to the Caribbean staple.
For one day, the venue will transform into seven distinct rum-themed destinations: the Frozen Bar, Mermaid Bar, Pirate’s Cove, Build Your Own Mojito Bar, Caribbean Carnaval Bar, Havana Nights and Beach Bar, with the latter featuring a deck filled with sand to create a mini tropical beach.
Guests can sample their way through more than 100 varieties of rum, enjoy rum-infused bites from three on-site food pods or unwind inside the VIP Cigar Lounge. Live entertainment will include a steel pan musician and Caribbean stilt walkers keeping the celebration going throughout the evening.
Those who RSVP in advance will receive a complimentary pineapple-infused rum shot and Tortuga rum cake upon arrival.
