November 10th, 2025 – Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez announced that his office has distributed October property tax collections totaling $58,965,714.24, marking the first distribution of the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
This distribution includes property taxes collected through October 31, representing payments received during the first month of the annual tax cycle. These early revenues are critical to ensuring that local governments, schools, and special districts continue delivering essential public services without interruption.
“Our priority is getting these funds where they’re needed most, quickly and responsibly,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “These distributions help keep our schools open, our neighborhoods safe, and our county moving forward. We are proud to deliver these funds quickly, efficiently, and with complete accountability.” added Fernandez.
Of the total amount distributed, $11,129,658.29 went to municipalities, $16,509,201.57 to the Miami-Dade County School Board, and $31,326,854.38 to the County Clearing Account, supporting essential countywide operations and services.
For context, the Tax Collector’s Office distributed more than $10 billion in property tax revenues during the previous fiscal year to the county, municipalities, and taxing authorities across Miami-Dade County.
The Office of the Tax Collector will continue issuing distributions throughout the tax season as payments are received, with updates shared publicly to keep residents informed about how collections support vital community services.
