Miami-Dade County Vice Chairman Kionne L. McGhee, in partnership with the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) proudly presents Generations of Wealth, a two-part event series designed to inspire financial empowerment, entrepreneurship and create pathways to generational prosperity for individuals and families across Miami-Dade County.

“The path to generational wealth begins with strong families, solid values and the belief that success starts at home,” said Vice Chairman Kionne L. McGhee. “By investing in our youth and connecting them with real-world opportunities, we are not simply just talking about wealth. We are teaching how to build it, protect it and pass it forward to the next generation.”

The series begins on Thursday, November 6, 2025, with Part One: Building the Blueprint at Homestead Senior High School. Designed to inspire the next generation of innovators, this assembly will unite an intergenerational panel of community business leaders and students from the school’s finance and business programs to share real-world experiences in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and personal growth. Through their stories, students will learn how education, discipline and hard work create opportunities that lead to success and generational achievement. The discussion will inspire students to think beyond the classroom and see how today’s efforts lay the groundwork for tomorrow’s opportunities. This session is closed to the public.

That evening, the conversation continues with Part Two: The Legacy Continues at Miami Dade College Homestead Campus, highlighting the next generation of success stories. The panel will feature community business leaders who have carried forward their family legacies by launching their own ventures or contributing to the continued growth of their family enterprises. Together they will share how mentorship, perseverance, and shared purpose can transform opportunity into achievement and strengthen the foundation for generational success. Free registration is available at www.bit.ly/MDEATevents.

“The Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) is proud to stand alongside Vice Chairman McGhee in advancing conversations that turn knowledge into opportunity,” said Bill Diggs, Executive Director of MDEAT. “By connecting families with tools to strengthen their financial foundation, we are helping build legacies that endure for generations.”

The Generations of Wealth series continues Miami-Dade County’s commitment to empowering residents through education, entrepreneurship and opportunity.
