Miami-Dade Parks advises planning ahead this Memorial Day Weekend for visits to parks, marinas, and beaches

Miami-Dade Parks looks forward to welcoming a large number of patrons at its parks, marinas, and beaches over Memorial Day Weekend, and reminds visitors to plan ahead. Traffic will be heavy, with boat ramps, marina and beach parking lots likely reaching full capacity early in the day.

Please check our Park and Marina Directory for the most up-to-date information, and remember:

  • Glass and polystyrene (foam) containers are not allowed.
  • Please visit Parks to find out what parks allow dogs.
  • Floating devices are not allowed in swimming areas.
  • Picnic tables are first come first serve. Picnic shelters must be reserved. Call the park to confirm availability.
  • Carry plenty of water, sunscreen, hats, and umbrellas to protect against dehydration and sun exposure.
  • Practice boating safety and be vigilant with all water-related activities.

For expedited parking fee payment, download the Pay-by-Phone app on your smart phone, and enter the appropriate zone # upon arrival. Cash (exact change) and credit card payments are accepted on-site via pay machines; expect long lines for this method of payment.

For up-to-date information on boat ramp closures, sign up to receive alerts here. You will need to complete registration by visiting www.miamidade.gov and typing “emergency alerts” in the search box at the top of the page.
