The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department is proud to announce a new partnership with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) at Fruit & Spice Park on Saturday, September 20, 2025. This partnership will promote Fruit & Spice Park as an official visitor center destination, ensuring that a wider audience of visitors and residents has access to information about the park and all it has to offer.
The festivities will take place during Adventure Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., a family-friendly celebration featuring reduced admission, children’s activities, food trucks, and opportunities to explore the park’s world-class tropical collection.
The day will kick off with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m., where Miami-Dade County District 8 Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins, Parks Director Christina White, and GMCVB Corporate Communications & External Affairs Director Richard Gibbs will deliver remarks highlighting the significance of this collaboration.
The community is invited to celebrate this milestone, which recognizes the park’s unique role as both an agritourism destination and botanical treasure, while also expanding the GMCVB’s visitor-center network into the Redland.
