MIAMI LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND TO HOST ANNUAL HOLIDAY TRADITION WITH BEEPING EASTER EGG HUNT ON MARCH 21

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

WHAT:

Hop into holiday fun this Easter with Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired who is hosting their annual Beeping Easter Egg Hunt on March 21st in their Miami Lighthouse Academy Playground.

Students will search for colorful beeping eggs assembled by the South Florida Police Benevolent Association and Miami-Dade Police Department Bomb Squad and hidden by the Easter Bunny. The sounds emitted by the eggs enable the blind and visually impaired children to locate them by listening, reinforcing Miami Lighthouse’s mission that ‘It’s possible to see without sight’.

In support of Miami Lighthouse’s annual Easter Egg Hunt that brings the joyous holiday festivities to the blind and visually impaired community, the South Florida Police Benevolent Association and the Miami-Dade Police Department Bomb Squad will also distribute Easter baskets with candy, and bring a police robot for Miami Lighthouse Academy students to interact with during the event.
