The Miami Marlins today announced the hiring of Alex Parker as Chief Brand Officer, effective immediately. In this new role, Parker will drive the strategic alignment of all facets of the Marlins brand and oversee the marketing and brand strategy efforts, including Creative, Game Presentation, Event Presentation, Digital Marketing, Social Media, and Retail Product Management teams.
Parker joins the Marlins organization with more than 14 years of Brand Marketing experience. He brings a tenured background, working with or managing accounts for the Miami Dolphins, Miami Open, F1 Grand Prix, Hard Rock Stadium events, and more. He achieved significant success in South Florida through his work with the Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, where he led brand and digital strategy that drove the team to become a league leader in social media sponsorship revenue and highest branded content video views in the NFL. Additionally, he played a key role in securing the stadium’s naming rights deal. Building on this success, Parker co-founded Mondo Metrics, servicing teams and brands across the NFL, regional sports networks, and high-volume content publishers in the podcast space.
“This is an exciting time for the Marlins organization, and we are happy to welcome Alex to our team,” said Caroline O’Connor, Marlins President of Business. “As Chief Brand Officer, he will lead a comprehensive effort to align and elevate every aspect of our brand, strengthening our connection with fans and positioning the Marlins for long-term growth. His proven success in building impactful, enduring brands makes him an ideal fit as we look to expand our reach and deepen engagement with both current and future audiences. We see tremendous potential on the horizon for our organization and are inspired by the strategic perspective and innovative vision Alex brings to shape the future of our brand.”
A South Florida native born in Plantation, Fla., Parker attended University School in Davie, Fla., and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester, where he also was a member of the Varsity Baseball team. In 2019, Sports Business Journal recognized Parker as a New Voices Under 30 honoree.
