The holidays came early for a group of City of Miami bicycle police officers who received a new set of wheels thanks to Downtown Miami’s Hampton Inn & Suites. The hotel’s ownership underwrote the $8,500 purchase of 13 new patrol bikes for the city’s police department in support of the not-forprofit HELP (Help Equip Law-enforcement Personnel) Fund. The HELP Fund was initiated by City of Miami Commissioner Marc D. Sarnoff, who issued a call to action to private citizens and businesses with the goal of equipping the Miami Police Department with additional resources.
