Miami Sailor celebrates U.S. Navy milestoneMaster Chief Hospital Corpsman Noel Martinez, a native of Miami assigned to Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and Hospital Corpsman Third Class Darah Perezmedina, a native of Red Lion, PA, cut a cake during the rate’s 125th birthday celebration on the mess decks aboard USS Boxer (LHD 4). The ceremony observed the tradition of the oldest and youngest Hospital Corpsman cutting the ceremonial cake with a saber. Boxer is Wasp-class amphibious assault ship homeported in San Diego.
