Are you a local who hasn’t been to Wynwood, Miami’s evergreen art and nightlife capital, for a while? Or are you a neighborhood regular looking for some new places to chow down or great deals to incentivize your restaurant visits?
This August and September, Miami Spice returns with its bounty of fixed price discounted offers courtesy of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. While covering all of the county, the Arts District’s places are some of the best.
Wynwood, the former industrial district that now pulsates with creativity, has a growing and eclectic culinary scene, ranging from Michelin-level dining experiences to casual street food.
During the Miami Spice Months, participating restaurants offer three-course menus starting at $30 for lunch and $60 for dinner that will entice and delight even the most jaded palates.
Begin your culinary adventure with Fabel Miami, where you can’t go wrong. This high-energy restaurant boasts a Mediterranean-influenced menu that is complemented by great service. Move on to Marygold’s Brasserie, located in the spanking new Arlo Wynwood Hotel.
The modern Florida-inspired restaurant is helmed by renowned chef Brad Kilgore and the award-winning mixology group BarLab. If you’re looking for a vibrant atmosphere that gives off Tulum vibes, venture over to Mayami Mexicantina & Bar. This popular eatery is known for its Mexican fusion cuisine, creative cocktails and lively terrace dining.
The flavors of Mexico continue spilling over at Pez Loco, where the west coast flavors come alive. This lively joint boasts a diverse menu featuring Sinaloan mariscos, Oaxacan salsas, and cocktails that pay homage to the agave spirits of tequila and mezcal.
If you’re craving savory Southern Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist (who doesn’t love Italian food) indulge at dōma Restaurant. The menu is infused with Mediterranean flavors and perfectly paired with an extensive selection of wines, saluti!
For a real casual vibe and ambiance, visit Wynwood’s Carribbean cuisine hidden gem, Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen. The traditional Jamaican dishes artfully capture the island’s flavors, complete with an outdoor authentic jerk stand.
“Miami Spice in Wynwood has become a testament to our district’s unwavering commitment to culinary excellence and artistic innovation,” said Manny Gonzalez, executive director of the Wynwood Business Improvement District, which considers the annual event one of its signature seasonal offerings.
“We invite both locals and visitors to embark on a sensory journey with us, exploring our diverse array of restaurants and indulging in the unique culinary experiences,” he added.
