The Lupus Foundation of America will hold its annual event to raise awareness and funds at Marlins Park.
The Lupus Foundation of America, Florida Chapter will host the 2017 Walk to End Lupus Now® presented by Bacardi at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Marlins Park, 501 Marlins Way, Miami, Fla. 33125.
“We are excited to be bringing another Walk to End Lupus Now event to South Florida. While we work to solve the cruel mystery of lupus, we must ensure that the more than 100,000 Floridians living with lupus and their caregivers have access to the resources and support that they need,” said Amy Yalden, President and CEO of the Lupus Foundation of America, Florida Chapter. “By coming together to raise funds and awareness, members of this community are showing their power and support for families, friends and all of those suffering with lupus.”
Lupus has no known cause and no known cure, but it affects an estimated 1.5 million Americans and 100,000 Floridians. Despite its widespread prevalence, lupus research funding and awareness of its brutal impact remain low. Together, we can change that.
The largest lupus walk program in the country, the Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now events bring communities together to raise money for lupus research, increase awareness of lupus, and rally public support for those who suffer from its brutal impact
Every dollar raised at the Walk to End Lupus Now brings us one step closer to solving the cruel mystery of this disease. To learn more or to make a donation, visit WalkToEndLupusNowFL.com. Join the Lupus Foundation of America, Florida Chapter and discover your power at the Walk to End Lupus Now!
