A unique and expert perspective on extreme weather and climate change was delivered during a meeting at the Coral Gables Museum on May 7 where South Florida leaders and community members heard from a decorated military veteran who spent his career ensuring American national security. Retired Vice Admiral Lee Gunn (pictured), a 35-year U.S. Navy veteran and board member of the nonpartisan American Security Project (ASP), shared his knowledge of the threats that extreme weather events and changing climate pose to U.S. national security, both at home and abroad.
