The Miami Outboard Club has announced the date of the 15th Annual Holiday Boat Parade which will be held on Dec. 15, 2012.
We are very excited to announce that this year’s parade will also be helping our community. We will be collecting unwrapped toys at the Miami Outboard Club and other sponsor locations to benefit the children of Centro Mater. The Miami Outboard Club Holiday Boat Parade will have nearly 100 boats expected to take part in the parade which starts at 7:00pm on Saturday, December 15, 2012. This event is an Integral Part of the Miami Outboard Club’s Family and community activities. Each year this event brings residents together for the holiday season. The official viewing site is Bayfront Park where there will be Gourmet Food Trucks, Bounce Houses, DJ and a Firework Show from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
Over the past 15 winter seasons, the Holiday Boat Parade has grown in size and scope. It has attracted club members and non club members alike. Over the past few years the event has featured more than 75 boats and nearly 100 are expected this year. Fast forward to the present and with donations and toy collections benefiting the children of Centro Mater Child Care Services, last year’s parade collected and donated over 1,000 toys for the children in our community. The Miami Outboard Club’s Holiday boat parade has expanded by hosting private and community events such as their Holiday Gala, Poster contest – where we are partnered with Miami Dade School Board Member Raquel Regalado and Citrus Grove Elementary School and have initiated the 3rd annual Poster Contest within our Miami-Dade County School System. We also have Santa visit at Centro Mater to celebrate another year of bringing smiles to under privileged children. These events are a fundamental part of The Miami Outboard Club’s Family and Community activities.
