This holiday season, MPS Credit Union brought the spirit of giving to life through two heartwarming initiatives that made a meaningful impact in the community.
First, as part of its annual Holiday Toy Drive, MPS Credit Union collected over 300 toys, generously donated by its members and employees. The toys were picked up by The Caring Place, a local organization dedicated to supporting at-risk children and families. These gifts will help brighten the holidays for children in need, spreading joy and hope during this festive time of year.
Additionally, MPS Credit Union partnered with the Miami-Dade Police Department’s (MDPD) Cops 4 Kids program, contributing teddy bears for children in the community. The event featured three of MDPD’s beloved support dogs, rescued pets who now serve as support animals. These furry ambassadors of kindness joined the Credit Union team to receive donations, creating a memorable and compassionate moment for all involved.
“Our community’s generosity has been nothing short of inspiring,” said Michele Paramore, CEO at MPS Credit Union. “Through the Holiday Toy Drive and our partnership with MDPD’s Cops 4 Kids program, we’ve been able to bring smiles to children and families who need it most. This is a testament to what we can accomplish when we come together for a greater purpose.”
The success of these initiatives highlights MPS Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to fostering a sense of community and compassion. By supporting local programs and encouraging member involvement, MPSCU continues to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
