Nader Sculpture Park scheduled to open featuring Fernando Botero sculpture
Botero’s Leda and the Swan

Gary Nader, founder of the Gary Nader Art Centre and one of the most influential figures in the art world, proudly announces the imminent opening of the Nader Sculpture Park, an innovative artistic project that will significantly contribute to Miami’s status as an international art hub.

To mark this important milestone, the monumental sculpture Leda and the Swan by renowned artist Fernando Botero has been installed in the heart of the Miami Design District since Sept. 5.

This majestic piece, valued at $5 million, is one of Botero’s most iconic works, showcasing his distinctive style of voluptuous figures and characteristic sensuality.

Inspired by the Greek myth where Zeus, transformed into a swan, seduces Leda, this scene has been interpreted throughout art history by prominent artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Peter Paul Rubens, François Boucher, and Cy Twombly. In this rendition, Botero captures the beauty and drama of the myth, offering a fresh perspective with his unique artistic approach.

The Nader Sculpture Park, one of a kind in its style, is set to open in late 2024. The park will feature more than 50 sculptures by internationally acclaimed artists, including Fernando Botero, Richard Hudson, Frank Stella, Edgar Plans, Soraya Abu Nabaa, Rufino Tamayo, Agustin Cardenas, Edgar Negret, Alexander Calder, Rachel Valdes, Sophia Vari, Bernar Venet, Saint Clair Cemin, Robert Indiana, Olafur Eliasson, Carlos Cruz-Diez, and Jesus Soto, among others.

In addition to offering a world-class artistic environment, the park will serve as a vibrant space for cultural, recreational, and private events, becoming a key landmark for the city and contributing to the cultural and economic growth of the Miami Design District.
With this new initiative, Nader reaffirms his commitment to promoting art and transforming Miami into a global art destination.

The Gary Nader Art Centre, located in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, is one of the most prestigious and successful galleries in the world.
