Everything is set for the Miami community to enjoy the city’s most popular event — the New Year’s Eve celebration. As is tradition, the event will take place, Dec. 31, on the expansive grounds of Bayfront Park located in Downtown Miami.
Starting Dec. 31 at 6 p.m. and continuing until 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, there will be a free, family-friendly, open-air show featuring a large lineup of renowned artists such as Willy Chirino, Arturo Sandoval, Chino y Nacho, Luis Enrique, Gente de Zona, Maribel Guardia, Aymée Nuviola, and many more.
The celebration is the largest Hispanic New Year’s Eve event in the United States and the second most significant in the country, surpassed only by Times Square. Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo, who also serves as president of the Bayfront Park Management Trust, is in charge of organizing the mega-event.
“This event has the quality and artistic level that our city deserves, a city admired around the world,” said Commissioner Carollo, who highlighted that the festival will feature no less than “26 top-tier musical performances, including solo artists and groups.”
The commissioner is inviting all citizens to attend this mega-event, emphasizing that it will be “a free, unforgettable day, a treat for the community, with entertainment for all ages, far from everyday worries.”
The estimated crowd of 150,000 people can be comfortably accommodated within Bayfront Park’s spacious 32 acres, according to city officials.
