The NR/No.24 Florida State cross country teams will split up and compete in two races on Friday.
The Crimson Classic will start at 9:30 a.m., with the men’s 8k, followed by the women’s 6k at 10:20 a.m., at the Harry Pritchett Running Course in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Later in the day, the women will start off the championship heats of the Nuttycombe Invitational at 1:20 p.m., racing the 6k, followed by the men’s 8k at 2 p.m., at the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin.
A total of 55 teams will step to the line in Madison with a national ranking or receiving votes, including the 24th-ranked women’s team.
“The Nuttycombe Invite is annually the best regular season meet,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “Most of the top 10 squads will be racing. We need to be at our best if we’re going to pick up key at-large wins.”

The Last Time Out
Florida State hosted the FSU Invite on Oct.7 at the Apalachee Regional Park.
The Seminoles placed second in the men’s 8k (87 points) and the women’s took fourth (152 points) in the 5k. Both teams saw most athletes run personal bests, including Jane Eiselstein was chosen as the ACC Women’s Freshman of the Week on Tuesday.
In her first outing in the Garnet and Gold, Eiselstein was the third Seminole to cross the finish line at the FSU Invite, placing 27th behind a personal best of 18:20.3.
Eiselstein is the first to win the honor since Alyson Churchill took home the weekly recognition in October of 2020.
