The more than 70 member organizations of the Nursing Consortium of Florida have elected four new directors, and re-elected one, for a new two-year term.
The newly elected members of the Consortium’s board of directors are: Cape Coral Hospital’s Interim chief nurse executive and vice president operations Rebekah Jernstedt MSN, RN; HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital’s, chief nursing officer Caren J. Bock, MBA, MSN, RN, LSSBB; Florida Atlantic University Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing’s associate dean of academic programs Joy Longo PhD, RNC-NIC, CNE; Memorial Regional Hospital South director of clinical education and organizational development Lauren K. Oates MSN, RN; and Nova Southeastern University Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing’s Graduate Nursing Faculty associate professor Joanne Masella, EdD, MSN, RN. RN. The newly elected directors begin their terms in July.
The Nursing Consortium of Florida was established to strengthen relationships between nurses in practice and academic settings, and promotes and facilitates collaboration among member organizations and with others to identify and address opportunities for strengthening the nursing community and ensure adequate access to high quality ever improving nursing services throughout Florida.
The Consortium is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation founded in 1997 to serve the professional needs of Florida’s nursing community. It has more than 70 member organizations including hospitals, accredited schools of nursing, nurse staffing agencies, and other providers of nursing services.
