The New World School of the Arts (NWSA) Alumni Foundation, supporting graduates of Miami’s premier visual and performing arts institution, will present an extraordinary, weeklong art auction on Bidding For Good, Oct. 30-Nov. 7.

Future Generations will bring together one-of-a-kind pieces created by NWSA alumni of all ages and varying levels of experience to support current and future alumni.

Initiated by Miami-based curator Luna Goldberg and Amy Langer, executive director of the NWSA Alumni Foundation, Future Generations will create a forum for NWSA alumni and beyond to have access to affordable works, and set the model for NWSA alumni to purchase works from and support their fellow alumni.

“We are excited to present this unique auction, which will allow the foundation to expand its support for current and future generations of NWSA alumni,” said Goldberg, who graduated from NWSA in 2011. “The solidarity and generosity of these artists in donating works, in order to raise funds to help support their fellow emerging alumni artists, speaks volumes to the impact that the school has on its students.

“So many years later, they continue to give in order to support the next generation.

Through this virtual platform, we hope to introduce prospective collectors across the nation and around the world to talented early-career artists, alongside a number of well-established and highly sought-after alumni artists.”

Participating Future Generations artists have donated works for auction, which will be presented to the public in a live-bidding experience on Bidding For Good over the course of one week. At the conclusion of the auction, 30 percent of the funds raised from each purchase will go directly to the participating artist, to help support their future work, and the remaining 70 percent of the proceeds will benefit the NWSA Alumni Foundation and its mission to help support and connect alumni across all creative disciplines.

The participating artists in Future Generations include: Toby Barnes, Thomas Bils, Amanda Bradley, Shenequa Brooks, Nicole Burko, Devin Caserta, Francisco Donoso, Lino Bernabe Fernandez, Reinier Gamboa, Summer Jade Leavitt, Joshua Levine, Michael Loveland, Zipporah Michel, Yamel Molerio, Vincent Serritella, Gabriel Sosa, Jen Stark, Michael Vasquez and Jovan Karlo Villalba.
