For the second year in a row, OfferUp in partnership with Miami-based Ironhack, has announced its $250,000 tech empowerment scholarship. The scholarship aims to provide women and underrepresented creators of color with financial assistance to attend Ironhack, a globally ranked tech school that offers intensive courses in Web Development, UX/UI design and Data Analysts.
Ironhack graduates like Kellie Parker switched careers during the pandemic and has since doubled her income because of Ironhack and Juan J. Martinez-Guevara, a first-gen student who had a passion for coding couldn’t have pursued his dreams without the financial support of the scholarship. You can read more about their experiences here.
Since 2017, Ironhack has partnered with top-tier tech companies to award more than $1.5M in scholarships to those in need or underrepresented groups. More than 7,000 of its graduates now have careers at Fortune 500 companies.
