The Oliver Gal Artist Co. announces the opening of its new pop-up art shop this winter. The Oliver Gal pop-up gallery is the brainchild of Lola Sánchez & Ana Sánchez Gal, the sisters and artists who founded the company.
Slated to open on Nov. 1 through Dec. 29, the pop-up shop will remain open for two months on NW Second Ave in the artfriendly district of Wynwood. Coinciding with the shop’s launch, a variety of artfocused events will take place throughout November and December.
The shop will feature original, limitededition Oliver Gal pieces, including collaborative artwork created using mixed media techniques — many of which have never been seen before.
“We wanted to launch an innovative movement within our local art market,” Lola said. “These are truly one-of-a-kind creations.”
The pop-up gallery will be featured at the same time as Art Basel, the annual art exhibition and cultural mecca held in Miami. Art Basel showcases modern and contemporary art for a global audience of collectors, museum curators and art aficionados, making it the ideal platform for Oliver Gal’s unique works.
The sisters describe the team’s art as “industrial chic.” The pieces blend urban and abstract motifs, making them wellsuited to contemporary spaces.
“They are timeless pieces with a modern edge,” Lola said.
Based in Miami, the Oliver Gal Artist Co. is a lifestyle and artwork brand spearheaded by Lola Sánchez and Ana Sánchez Gal. The sisters were inspired by the Miami art scene, and by photography from their travels through Spain, Italy, St. Lucia, China, Israel, and Africa.
