The Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) – South Florida has announced that it is partnering with Books & Books to host OWIT’s 14th Annual International Business Woman of the Year (IBWOY) Awards luncheon, an event honoring and celebrating women engaged in international business and international trade.
This year’s event features special guest Kate Hudson, a world-renowned actress and author of the new lifestyle book, Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body. Attendees will experience a live interview of Kate Hudson by Lisa Petrillo, entertainment reporter for CBS4.
The 14th Annual IBWOY Awards luncheon will take place Friday, Feb. 19, at the Rusty Pelican, 3201 Rickenbacker Causeway, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost of the event is $85 for members and $95 for nonmembers, in advance, and $105 for all at the door.
This year’s IBWOY Awards Luncheon will bring together more than 300 professional women and men in South Florida to honor this year’s extraordinary honorees. Awards are presented in three categories, Small/Medium Business, Large Business, and Service. The community’s brightest international business and trade professionals will meet for dining and valuable networking with the opportunity to engage new contacts, friends, business connections, and colleagues.
The event includes a one-hour VIP Sponsor Reception prior to the luncheon providing an intimate networking environment for the event’s VIP sponsors and the critically acclaimed Kate Hudson. After the VIP Sponsor Reception, attendees will gather for a seated lunch with sweeping views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay while enjoying a lively interview of Kate Hudson, followed by the presentation of the 2015 IBWOY Awards to our three distinguished winners.
Proceeds from this event will fund scholarships for women studying international business or trade at South Florida universities.
