Coastal Construction Group, one of the largest general contractors in the Southeast, has announced that Patrick Erin Murphy, executive vice president, has been honored as the Most Innovative Contractor of the Year at the prestigious RED (Real Estate Development) Awards Florida.
The award recognizes Murphy’s outstanding contributions to the real estate and construction industries and his role in advancing technology within Coastal Construction Group.
Hundreds of Miami’s top real estate and construction professionals gathered at the Design District in Miami on Saturday, Jan. 27, to honor Murphy alongside other leaders, visionaries, and rising stars in the industry. The RED Awards are an annual celebration of achievements in the world of real estate, serving as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people who have made meaningful contributions to the industry.
Murphy has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. He began his journey with Coastal Construction at the age of 19 as a day laborer. Over the years, Murphy has grown with the company, taking on various roles, including project engineer, estimating assistant, and accounting manager. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Congress, representing Palm Beach and Treasure Coast in the House of Representatives from 2013 to 2017, and was the nominee for the U.S. Senate in 2016.His leadership also extends to the development of groundbreaking building technology. Beyond his role at Coastal Construction, Murphyis the CEO of Togal.AI, a cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technology company at the forefront of revolutionizing the construction industry’s bidding process. Under his leadership, they have developed the industry’s most advanced pre-construction technology, made to automatically detect, measure, compare, and label project spaces and features on architectural drawings.
