Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) has appointed Gregory C. Ferrero as president to its board and has named Alia Tutor as a new trustee.

“The PAMM family is thrilled to have Greg Ferrero as its new president,” said Aaron Podhurst, PAMM Board of Trustees chair. “Greg is a trusted advisor to some of the wealthiest families in the world. He has always been dedicated to helping the community as a volunteer. His dedication to the arts will help PAMM and all of the cultural institutions as they work together to make South Florida a better place to live.”

Ferrero is preceded by Jeff Krinsky, who served as president for three years. During that time, PAMM acquired a number of significant acquisitions, the creation of several endowments for strategic acquisitions, the successful integration of new technology in PAMM’s digital spaces, several technological strides in the museum spaces, and a milestone attendance mark of one million visitors.

“Our gratitude to Jeff Krinsky cannot be overstated. His presence as a trustee for the last nine years and most recently his leadership as board president has been integral to the success of PAMM,” said PAMM director Franklin Sirmans. “Jeff’s guidance and generosity has made a lasting impact on the organization and we couldn’t be more excited for the next stage in the museum’s evolution. I know Greg Ferrero’s professional and philanthropic guidance will take the institution to the next level.”

Greg Ferrero manages the domestic and Latin American Wealth Management business in Florida and serves on the IMD Portfolio Review Board. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 as an investment professional in New York where he worked with a select group of families for 17 years before relocating to Miami. Ferrero was named managing director in 2006.

Ferrero serves on the board of trustees of Pérez Art Museum Miami, board of trustees at St. Lawrence University, board of directors of the Pear Tree Point School Foundation in Darien, CT, and the board of governors at La Gorce Country Club.

Ferrero earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BS in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.

“Art is a vehicle by which people can have a conversation about the world we live in,” Ferrero said. “I’m honored to build on PAMM’s efforts to expand access to the museum while bringing the heritage of our diverse community to life through art.”

Alia Tutor has been described as a “tireless advocate for the welfare of children and women around the world.” A philanthropist and humanitarian, Tutor established the Alia Tutor Chair in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC), fostering groundbreaking research and treatment, and currently serves as a member of the board of overseers for the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She also serves as a member of the board of yrustees for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and is a co-chair of the Government Relations Committee at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Tutor is a member of the Southern California Regional Board of Directors for UNICEF and serves on the board of trustees of the Aspen Music Festival and School. She received her JD from Columbia Law School.

“PAMM has not only developed into one of the premiere art institutions in the world, but it continues to innovate and go beyond what people think of a traditional art museum,” Tutor said. “I look forward to being part of the board and seeing the institution through to its next chapter.”
