Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP is pleased to announce that Rafael R. Ribeiro has been elected as one of the firm’s newest Litigation partners, effective January 1, 2013.

Rafael represents clients in complex commercial litigation, internal investigations, international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, with clients including major multi-national corporations such as Bacardi, Carnival and Ryder. Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and French, Rafael has represented clients before the American Arbitration Association and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, as well as in state and federal courts.
Rafael joined Bilzin Sumberg in 2012 as part of a team of seasoned trial lawyers, including renowned litigator and former U.S. Senate Chief Counsel and Chief of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Office in New York, Marty Steinberg. The firm’s Litigation Group is consistently recognized as a leading litigation practice by publications such as Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America. The firm was selected as a finalist for Benchmark Litigation’s Firm of the Year 2012.
Rafael is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association and an executive council member of the International Law Section of The Florida Bar. He is past co-chair of the International Litigation and Arbitration Committee of The Florida Bar’s International Law Section. He received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.
