Regatta Grove welcomes Phuc Yea to culinary lineup
Chef Cesar Zapata

Regatta Grove has announced the addition of Phuc Yea, Miami’s Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognized modern Vietnamese restaurant, to its star-studded lineup of waterfront culinary outposts.

Marking the second location of Phuc Yea, this all-new concession-style outpost brings Chef Cesar Zapata and restaurateur Ani Meinhold’s bold, high-energy brand of modern Vietnamese cooking to the heart of Coconut Grove’s iconic waterfront. Its cuisine will be served during Regatta Grove’s regular operating schedule.

“We’re honored to join the Regatta Grove lineup and to be surrounded by some of the best chefs in Miami and in the country. Ani and I have a deep respect for Grove Bay and Breakwater Hospitality Group, groups we’ve admired for years, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate,” Zapata said. “Bringing a little bit of Phuc Yea to Coconut Grove feels right, and we’re excited to share our flavors, our story, and the energy that defines us. We look forward to building more partnerships together in the future.”

Phuc Yea’s new Regatta Grove location is a compact concession model designed for the venue’s open-air, social setting. Despite its smaller footprint, the menu is packed with Phuc Yea signatures, fresh, herbaceous, umami-rich, and deeply satisfying dishes ideal for snacking, sharing, or savoring by the water.

Guests can start with snacks like Edamame Hummus served with raw vegetables and lemongrass chili oil, Shrimp Summer Rolls paired with sweet chili peanut sauce or sriracha mayo, a refreshing Smashed Cucumber Salad with Szechwan peppercorn and sesame, or a bright Watermelon Salad dressed with lemongrass chili oil and Viet ponzu. The skewer selection includes Beef, Chicken, or Vegetable Satay, featuring mushrooms, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts, with sauces such as hoisin black pepper, sweet chili peanut, or salsa verde.

Dumpling lovers can choose from Shrimp, Pork, or Wagyu Beef Dumplings, finished with chives and crispy shallots and served with Viet truffle ponzu, Szechuan nuoc cham, or salsa verde. For something soft and indulgent, the menu offers Pork or Mushroom Bao with sauce options like sriracha mayo, Viet truffle ponzu, or chili crunch. To end on a sweet note, the Vietnamese Affogato combines toasted coconut ice cream with rich Vietnamese-style coffee.

Phuc Yea first opened in 2011 as Miami’s original pop-up concept before later establishing its flagship restaurant in MiMo. Over the past decade, the brand has earned a cult following for its unapologetically flavorful cuisine, street-food edge, and modern interpretation of Vietnamese comfort classics.

Behind its continued success are co-founders Ani Meinhold, restaurateur and creative director, and Chef Cesar Zapata, a duo celebrated for their ability to seamlessly blend authenticity with Miami flair. Together, they form a powerhouse hospitality team behind several successful concepts, including the four-time Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning Phuc Yea in MiMo; Pho Sho at The Citadel, a fresh pho and noodle concept; LCKY CHKN at Hard Rock Stadium, a fast-casual fried chicken spot known for bold flavors, and most recently, the new Phuc Yea at Regatta Grove, their latest venture joining the waterfront destination’s dynamic culinary lineup. With each project, Meinhold and Zapata continue to shape Miami’s dining culture through their bold culinary identity, commitment to community, and infectious creative energy.

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Phuc Yea to Regatta Grove,” said restaurateurs Francesco Balli and Ignacio García-Menocal, the co-founders and CEOs behind Grove Bay Hospitality Group. “Cesar and Ani are super talented, and we’ve admired them for years.

We’ve wanted to collaborate with them for a long time. Bringing their wildly popular and truly one-of-a-kind concept to Coconut Grove felt like the perfect next fit – not just for the neighborhood, but for all of us who have watched their creativity and passion inspire Miami’s dining scene.”

Phuc Yea joins Regatta Grove’s curated roster of local culinary talent, including JJ’s (Guilty Pleasures) by Chef Jeremy Ford, The Piefather by Chef Jose Mendin, House of Birds & Drop Biscuits by Chef Kenny Gilbert, and Tackle Box by Chef Jeff McInnis. Its inclusion will solidify further the waterfront venue as one of Miami’s premier outdoor dining and entertainment destinations. The arrival of Phuc Yea additionally reflects Grove Bay Hospitality Group’s continued commitment to showcasing innovative, best-in-class culinary experiences.

Opened in 2024, Regatta Grove is an open-air, relaxed waterfront entertainment venue by Breakwater Hospitality Group overlooking Biscayne Bay. The nautical-themed concept hosts three large outdoor bars and takes inspiration from Florida’s coast, and the venue itself has been designed to resemble the bow of a boat. The space is surrounded by green lawn areas for a variety of entertainment and wellness programming and features multiple decks, a walkway to the waterfront, direct access to the marina and dockage for guests who would like to arrive by boat.

Regatta Grove is located at 3415 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33133 at Regatta Harbour.
