Emphasizing its ‘Play by the Bay’ mantra, Regatta Harbour, the mixed-use development that is spearheading Coconut Grove’s waterfront resurgence, has added another star tenant to its dynamic repertoire of experiences.
Project developer The TREO Group — a Miami-based, privately-held real estate investment firm -— recently announced that it has inked a lease agreement with Anatomy, a progressive fitness community that integrates exercise programing with sports science, wellness and beauty.
To be situated at 3385 Pan American Dr., amid Regatta Harbour’s 9.5 acres along Coconut Grove’s historic Dinner Key, Anatomy will encompass 14,500 square feet in the southern region of the retail space on the ground floor of the project’s modern parking garage. This news follows the completion of Regatta Harbour’s marina and signed lease with Celebrity Chef Jeremy Ford, to bring a new boat-to-table restaurant concept, Afishonado.
When complete in 2020, Regatta Harbour will activate the area’s bayfront with a long-awaited lifestyle destination. The Arquitectonica-designed development will boast more than 100,000 square feet of specialty retail and high-profile, chef-driven restaurants. It is set against the picturesque backdrop of the bay and lush foliage synonymous with Coconut Grove.
“It is exciting to welcome Anatomy to Regatta Harbour, especially as we see project construction continue to evolve,” said Eduardo Garcia, principal of The TREO Group. “The addition of this innovative fitness brand supports our vision and strategy to create a new and vibrant experience that will dramatically enhance the community and the waterfront.”
Anatomy delivers three main elements: sweat, enhance and recover. Through personal training, Pilates and a variety of group classes, the programming is thoughtfully designed for each individual. Self-care is valued heavily through the use of vitamin infusion, endermologie treatments and beauty services. Regatta Harbour marks Anatomy’s third gym in South Florida, joining locations in Midtown and Miami Beach. It is slated for completion in 2020.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Regatta Harbour on the opening of our newest Miami location, especially in an area like Coconut Grove with its fitness-centric population,” added Chris Paciello, co-founder of Anatomy. “We are excited to join in the revitalization of an area into a lively neighborhood centerpiece, which aligns with our mission to establish integrated health and wellness communities, while developing our Anatomy community and brand even further. Together, it is a strong synergy that would not be possible without the support of our local community.”
Currently under construction, Regatta Harbour is being delivered in multiple stages. The first phase was completed in February with the delivery of its marina, following a $5.5 million overhaul of the former Grove Key Marina site. The state-of-the-art facility consists of new dry storage racks with space for more than 400 vessels, with three newly-built launch points and boat lifts; two floating docks with 700 linear feet of transient floating dockage and three finger piers; and a new fueling station.
As an ode to old Coconut Grove in its subsequent phases, Regatta Harbour will preserve and renovate historic airplane hangars onsite. Utilized in the early 1900s as the first continental Naval air station, and later by Pan Am Airways, The TREO Group will convert the former hangars, one into a marina storage, and the second 20,000-square-foot hangar will be ideal for a gourmet food hall, specialty market or entertainment concept. The project also will introduce more than 13,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
Creating a critical community link, Regatta Harbour is an integral component to Coconut Grove’s revitalization currently underway. The destination is just steps from luxury living and complementary, new residential and commercial projects. The property neighbors the OMA-designed Park Grove and legendary CocoWalk, which is in the process of a complete overhaul to offer yet another central location with offices, dining and retail. Regatta Harbour also is in proximity to Miami City Hall, Dinner Key Marina, Peacock Park, Kennedy Park, Fresh Market, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences, Grove at Grand Bay Luxury Residences and Mr. C’s Hotel.
Further highlighting Regatta Harbour’s central location will be its seamless connection with Regatta Park, affording patrons an active lifestyle and a rich menu of dining options, year-round events, and community programming.
Lyle Stern and Sara Wolfe of Koniver Stern Group oversee leasing of the commercial space.
