At the School Board Meeting of October 8, 2025, School Board Member Roberto J. Alonso proffered agenda item B-5, recognizing Anthony R. Gomez (“Tony” Gomez), President of The Latin Builders Association.
Tony Gomez has dedicated more than three decades to business leadership, construction, and community development, serving as owner and president of Unitech Builders Corp since 1992, while also leading multiple companies that have generated economic growth and created opportunities across South Florida.
Mr. Gomez has contributed to the advancement of public infrastructure and safety through his work with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the City of Miami, the City of Miami Beach, and the South Dade Government Center, delivering critical upgrades including ADA compliance, fire systems, recreational facilities, and stormwater infrastructure.
His leadership extends beyond business, as demonstrated through his presidency of The Latin Builders Association, executive service with the Hispanic American Builders Association, and board membership with Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers, where he has consistently championed community safety, advocacy, and economic development.
Tony Gomez continues to inspire others through his commitment to civic engagement, support, of bipartisan initiatives, and steadfast dedication to strengthening the communities of South Florida.
The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, presented this resolution to Tony Gomez in recognition of his distinguished record of leadership, his exemplary service to the public and private sectors, and his lasting contributions to the advancement and well-being of the communities of Miami Dade County and beyond.
