Rodrigo and Neydy have lived in Miami for more than a decade. Their partnership arose from friendship (Neydy’s husband and Rodrigo worked together.) and the shared goal of entrepreneurship. After much research, it was the quality of the ShelfGenie concept that attracted them. They also understood that Miami’s booming condo and housing market was a great fit for this high-end home improvement product.
According to the Freedonia Group, companies like ShelfGenie that provide excellent quality storage and organizational products are part of a $9.4 billion business. This business is expected to experience an increase of about 4 percent per year for the next three years.
Rodrigo and Neydy plan to triple regional sales over the next year. And they will be adding more designers to their professional staff to have up to 10 people to serve the Miami region. Currently they have a team of professional designers and carpenters ready to work with you to plan and construct custom cabinetry for your kitchen, bathroom, pantry or office.
“Our product maximizes the existing space in your home; this is an important component of what we do,” Neydy said.
The public is invited to contact ShelfGenie Miami to arrange an in-home assessment and consultation for their storage needs. The client will choose the wood and stain he or she prefers for new, custom-made cabinets. There is no prefabrication. Careful measurements will be taken and the cabinets will be made in the company’s factory in North Carolina or California. Once completed and shipped, installation generally requires about half a day.
The quality of the product is unsurpassed and comes as a result of years of research for the best: the drawer rails and gliders can support up to 100 pounds, the wood is solid maple or birch (available in good, better, best grades) stained to order, and the finishes are high-quality and scratch-resistant.
