Silverado 1500 Trail Boss is lightning quick

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Starting at $58,000, the 2024 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss Crew Cab is a beast on the road.

With 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of maximum torque, the TurboMax engine offers impressive power and no-compromise durability. Torque on demand is delivered by the unique dual volute turbocharger, which has priority oiling and cooling to help you take on the toughest jobs with ease.

This is a unique engine. What makes it so appealing is its remarkable capability, torque and improved fuel efficiency. The details you’ve seen so far, combined with advanced controls, give the TurboMax engine its high-power output and 430 pound-feet of torque. It’s a product of rigorous testing and real-world trials that is designed to work consistently and reliably for you.

The 2024 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss delivers 16 miles per gallon in the city and 17 miles per gallon on the highway. It can pull 13,300 pounds of stuff and has a capacity of 2,260 pounds of payload.

It’s a crew cab, short bed with four wheel drive that is well designed and looks great on the road. I like the front grill, which is big and gives the Silverado its distinct personality.

Inside the cabin, you get Google built in with a 13.4-inch diagonal HD touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. On the driver’s side, you get a 12.3-inch diagonal information center that is modern and sharp.

The fabric on the Silverado 1500 is very durable and there is plenty of room for everyone.

There is plenty of head room and leg room throughout, so you easily can seat four without a fuss.

I like that the pickup feels like it can do anything and you can too while you are behind the wheel. And, it is speedy. You can buzz through both highways and off road with ease. This is a great partner to get your trips to Home Depot or Lowes out of the way and still make it to the grocery store in one trip.

On the back of the pickup, there is great banding with Chevrolet’s name prominently displayed. Trail Boss logo is on the back, which shows the detail Chevrolet has put into this vehicle.

Overall, I think the 2024 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss Crew Cab has a lot to offer anyone who gets the special opportunity to drive it. It gives you everything you want from a pickup in terms of power and performance, plus it’s got modern style and a cabin that offers room and functionality.

Give it a spin and tell me what you think.
