SOUTH FLORIDA PBS ANNOUNCES NEW SEASON OF ART LOFT
— South Florida PBS (WPBT & WXEL) is excited to announce the premiere of the highly anticipated new season of Art Loft on Tuesday January 14th. Ten new episodes of Art Loft will be premiering weekly on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM on WPBT and Thursdays at 5:30 PM on WXEL.
Season 8 kicks off with a new look for the program, a new website and stunning large-scale visuals! Art Loft will profile artists in all stages of their careers from the Palm Beaches to Key West and beyond. Throughout Season 8, the 30-minute art program that showcases what’s happening in our own backyard and offers a taste of the contemporary art scene across the United States, will highlight comics, music, architecture, public art, literature, immersive art and so much more!
“Our goal is to connect South Florida performance artists, musicians, authors, dreamers and visionaries with local programming that celebrates the creativity and diversity of our community,” stated Dolores Sukhdeo, President and CEO of South Florida PBS “We hope this new season of Art Loft will inform and inspire viewers, with profiles of artistic works that portray our history, as well as those that offer a glimpse into the future.”
Art Loft is a collaboration between WPBT2 South Florida PBS, local artists, producers, and other PBS stations around the country.
Art Loft is made possible by the Florida Keys and Key West, Monroe County Tourist Development Council and the Friends of South Florida PBS with additional support by the Miami-Dade County Tourist Development Council, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
