Study: Miami fourth best city for working parents

Miami parents can rejoice because CoworkingCafe’s new data-driven study ranks their home as the fourth best city for working parents, making it easier to balance career, parenting and personal life.

To find the nation’s top cities for busy parents, CoworkingCafe measured U.S. cities with at least 200,000 residents across metrics related to the availability and access to work opportunities, childcare, education, health and environment. CoworkingCafe also interviewed six leading experts to support the findings.

Here is how Miami stood out:
Affordable childcare: Miami makes it easier for families to stay on budget by providing some of the most cost-effective childcare rates in the country at an average of $175 per week ($10,010 annually), significantly more affordable than in many other major cities;
Most convenient schools: Because Miami has the highest density of public schools in the U.S. (456 per 100,000 children), parents here are well-positioned to choose schools that both minimize time lost in traffic and ensure their children get a quality education;
Unmatched coworking infrastructure: Miami’s parents reside in the city with the highest density of coworking spaces (2.39 per square mile), leaving them with plenty of choices, especially if they juggle hybrid work;

Florida’s best place for working parents: Miami stands out as Florida’s highest-ranking city for working parents, significantly outperforming other major Florida cities, such as Tampa (No. 25), Orlando (No. 29) and Jacksonville (No. 63).

Nationally, America’s top cities offer families diverse paths to thrive, from D.C. and Arlington’s career stability to Miami and Frisco’s affordability, Boston and New York’s strong schools, and Anchorage, Scottsdale, and Madison’s healthy environments.
