Swiss sportswear brand ‘On’ has opened its newest store in Miami, marking the company’s continued retail expansion and fifth location in the U.S.

Encompassing 3,229 square feet of retail space in the heart of Miami’s upscale Design District, the store will showcase On’s latest footwear and performance apparel innovations while inviting guests to experience subtle design hues reflecting Miami’s tropical outdoor elements and cultural artistic heritage.

“Miami connects performance and design like no other city in the world, and blending those two things is core to On’s DNA,” said Martin Hoffmann, co-CEO and CFO at On. “Our new store will help us create more intimate touchpoints with our athletes and fans in this city, taking their experience with our footwear and apparel to new levels.”

Blending the elements of raw nature with advanced technology, the store’s design takes inspiration from its local surroundings. The earthy color scheme and sand-grain infused cement panels are designed to evoke the warmth and nature of Miami Beach.

The centerpiece of On Miami is its Magic Wall, an immersive, more than eight-foot tall structure that innovates the traditional retail experience by giving shoppers an immediate try-on of On’s latest footwear. Featuring hidden drawers with a full size-run of On’s latest footwear, the Magic Wall eliminates the time shoppers typically spend waiting to receive sizes and allows for more valuable interaction with On’s expert store advisors.

On Miami also features the brand’s latest interpretation of its alpine boulder, a structure found in many On stores around the world. Each boulder is a 3D-scanned recreation of an actual boulder in the Swiss Alps — where On’s story began — with details tailored to each location’s culture.

To design the boulder in its Miami store, On collaborated with sustainability-focused artist Lucas Muñoz Muñoz. The boulder inside On Miami features hand-hammered metal contours treated with the latest advancements in automobile chromaflair paint, inspired by the art deco and car culture for which Miami is known. As viewers move around the boulder, they have the illusion of changing colors, giving the installation a dynamic and interactive experience.

In addition to On Miami being a dedicated space for community experiences and events, the store will host Run Clubs every Wednesday, inviting guest hosts to co-lead the group along the city’s most popular routes.

“Our new store in Miami underscores our continued investment in the Americas, which is On’s biggest market and our biggest growth driver globally,” said Britt Olsen, general manager of the Americas and head of Global Commercial Strategy. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to grow a new community of On athletes and movers in Miami, and to connect more closely with those who are already fans of our brand. Portland, Austin, Chicago…you’re next!”

Since its founding in 2010, On has become one of the fastest growing sportswear brands in the world. In Quarter 2 of 2023, On reported CHF 444.3 million in net sales (more than $500 million USD), the highest in the company’s history, and a growth rate of more than 52 percent year-over-year globally. On Miami joins the brand’s growing roster of stores, marking its 27th store globally.

On Miami is located at 125 NE 40 St, Miami, FL 33137.

Hours are Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.

On is present in more than 60 countries globally and engages with a digital community on www.on-running.com.
