A NEWS RELEASE FROM THE HONORABLE SCHOOL BOARD CHAIR & DISTRICT 6 REPRESENTATIVE, MS. MARI TERE ROJAS
The Honorable School Board Chair and District 6 Representative, Mari Tere Rojas, has been re-elected for the fourth consecutive year by her fellow Board Members as Chair of The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, the governing body of the nation’s third-largest A-rated school district.
“I am deeply humbled, honored, and grateful for the trust my colleagues have placed in me to continue serving as Board Chair,” said Chair Rojas. “It is a privilege to work alongside such visionary and dedicated Board Members, whose leadership continues to shape the future for our students and empowers our outstanding educators, administrators, staff, and community.”
Chair Rojas extended heartfelt appreciation to Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jose L. Dotres, teachers, administrators, support personnel, staff, the workforce, and police officers for their tireless dedication to uplifting students each day. “To the entire Miami-Dade County Public Schools family and all our stakeholders — thank you for believing in our mission, our schools, and in my leadership. Together, we will continue to inspire excellence, empower our educators, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.”
School Board Chair Rojas and School Board Members also congratulated Ms. Monica Colucci on her re-election as Vice Chair of The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida. “Ms. Colucci’s dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our students, educators, and the entire M-DCPS community continue to make a meaningful impact across our district. We are proud to celebrate her achievements and look forward to another year of inspiring service and collaboration,” said Chair Rojas.
