The adventure returns! The first museum exhibit based on Disney Junior’s animated series,

The Lion Guard, which continues the epic storytelling of The Lion King, has returned to Miami Children’s Museum where it first debuted in 2018.

The series follows the adventures of Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, and his diverse group of friends, as they unite to defend the Pride Lands and protect the Circle of Life. The exhibit reopened at Miami Children’s Museum on Oct. 9 and will run through Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022.

This one-of-a-kind exhibit brings The Lion Guard story to life for young children and their families. Through hands-on activities, interactive, and imaginative play, guests will be transported to the Pride Lands to discover the unique traits of each member of the Lion Guard team — Kion, the leader of the group and the fiercest in all of the Pride Lands; Bunga, a fearless honey badger and the Pride Lands’ bravest; Fuli, a confident cheetah and the fastest in the Pride Lands; Beshte, a friendly and good-spirited hippo and the strongest in the Pride Lands, and Ono, an intellectual egret who is keenest of sight — that allow them to work together to maintain balance in the Circle of Life.

Children and families traveling through the exciting interactive exhibit will learn important lessons about social and self-development, problem solving, creative thinking, and arts & culture. The Lion Guard stories are designed to communicate positive lessons about teamwork, community, and diversity that are carried over throughout the exhibit.

From Ono’s Adventure, “Looking for Trouble,” which enhances observation skills and cognitive development, to Kion’s Adventure, “Hevi Kabisa Maze,” which promotes analyzing their environment and making strategic decisions, to Beshte’s Adventure, “Too Much Rain,” bringing into play physical and communication skills to work together, along with so much more, they will be exposed to The Lion Guard’s world of wonder and excitement.

“We have been honored to work with Disney to bring to life this unique exhibit for children and families that will encompass important learning areas such as social and self-development and are delighted to have it return to our museum. It will further highlight our goal to play, learn, imagine and create,” said Deborah Spiegelman, CEO/executive director for Miami Children’s Museum.

The Lion Guard: The Exhibit will be at Miami Children’s Museum, located at 980 MacArthur Causeway on Watson Island in Miami, through Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022. Museum admission is now being offered for two-hour play sessions from 10 a.m. to noon, 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
