As Art Basel, Art Week Miami approaches, Pudgy Penguins, one of the most beloved and fastest-growing character brands, is kicking off what it’s calling “The Year of the Penguin.”
On Dec. 4, Pudgy Penguins will unveil “Port of Miami” at Art Basel 2025, a 15,000-square-foot immersive takeover of Casa Nube in Wynwood that marks the official launch of the brand’s winter season campaign. Created in partnership with OpenSea, the large-scale experience kicks off Pudgy Penguins’ mission to “own winter,” extending into the new year.
This first activation sets the stage for a nationwide rollout culminating in a surprise collaboration and global “Penguin Love” celebrations on Valentine’s Day.
Born on the Internet and built by its community, Miami-based Pudgy Penguins has evolved far beyond collectibles and is quietly crafting the blueprint for a modern character franchise. Today, it stands at the intersection of lifestyle, and culture, leading a new generation of family-friendly fandom rooted in connection, and joy.
As the brand expands through tentpole moments, from Art Basel to the NHL Winter Classic and SXSW, as well as community-driven, family-focused activations, Pudgy Penguins is redefining what a lifestyle brand looks like in 2026. It is a brand built not just on trends, but on the enduring power of play, positivity, and togetherness.
