Key Biscayne will be back in the driver’s seat for the second annual Key Biscayne Car Week. From September 30 – October 2, 2022, the event will kick off to the community with two-time Formula 1 World Champion and two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, Emerson Fittipaldi, driving the legendary ‘Spirit of Miami’ onto Monaco Square.
“After a two-year pause due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to be making a triumphant return this year. Our continued focus for Key Biscayne Car Week is to create a groundbreaking event that authentically displays automotive style, beauty, vision, and restoration,” said Emerson Fittipaldi, Chairman, Key Biscayne Car Week. “Our commitment is to become the center of attention in the automotive world by exhibiting vintage, modern, and Formula 1 race cars on the Key Biscayne Village Green.”
The complete event itinerary will consist of:
- Friday, September 30:
- The weekend will kick off with an invite-only reception for sponsors, collectors, and event organizers.
- Saturday, October 1:
- From noon to 4:00 p.m., locals and visitors are invited to pass by the car exhibition at the Monaco Square Civic Center on Saturday. There will be live music, go–kart races, and trophy presentations for the public to enjoy at no cost.
- The day will close out at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club for the annual reception gala. To purchase a ticket, please click HERE.
- Sunday, October 2:
- Celebrations will conclude at the Crossbridge Church (Key Biscayne) with more cars, a morning presentation by the Fittipaldi family, and a delicious buffet brunch. This event is also open to the public from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Charitable contributions are an integral part of this event as proceeds from this year will benefit The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and the nonprofit organization Eternity & Grace. “We want to honor the legacy of Key Biscayne Car Week by continuing our commitment to doing well by our community,” said Frances Reaves, Esq., Co-Chair, Key Biscayne Car Week.
